How we operate
PVDP has a proven track record of successfully delivering projects. We have been active in the industry since 2004 and have completed projects with a combined capacity of over 1GWp in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, UK and Japan.
Experienced team: PVDP is owned by the management, which combines sectoral experience with business acumen. Our team comprises highly qualified engineers and technicians with experience of designing and constructing solar parks worldwide, and has been consistently successful in delivering consent and grid connections.
Robust Finances: It is the success of our projects to date, and the revenue they have generated, that provides the sole source of funding for our project development activities. We have the financial means to invest in new projects without external funding.
A diligent approach: We carry out extensive preliminary impact studies on targeted land areas before approaching landowners to ensure that any potential project is feasible. A grid connection agreement is signed with National Grid for any given site before further activities commence. We engage leading planning consultants and engineers to support us in areas of specialist expertise. Before we approach landowners, we conduct sufficient research on the location to give us confidence that we will obtain planning consent through a Development Consent Order in accordance with the Planning Act 2008.
Prioritising biodiversity: PVDP is committed to protecting the local environment and wildlife, ensuring that a significant increase in biodiversity from current levels is embedded into our plans from the offset. From protecting hedgerows and planting new ones, to enhancing the local ecology via bee hives, insect habitats, bird and bat boxes, biodiversity and landscape are at the heart of our planning.

A Reliable Partner
PVDP believes in robust partnerships. We work closely with landowners throughout the design process and planning period in order to accommodate the landowner’s land use strategy.
PVDP uses in-house funds to finance projects, which means that risks are well understood and decisions are made quickly. There is no corporate hierarchy, and we work hands-on as a team.
